I feel like you're forgetting the part where Nijisanji is the party that publicized the suicide attempt. Nevermind the fact that her documentation may have included details not currently public, like the method of her suicide attempt.

The termination notice (and the earlier message on Selen's twitter) made it obvious it was a suicide attempt. Being under supervision and without your phone is typical after a suicide attempt.

I can't imagine them merging EN into the main branch unless they have no choice. It would be an admission that they have failed at every attempt to expand into new markets and there is no room for growth left.
