Nah, Ashley knew what she was doing, and now years later doesn't show any regret or concern for it.

I have to say, this guy is much smarter(aka subtler) than Ashley's Entity.

Both can be true at once, Pippa. Most actions of most people can be done for their self-benefit while also having them be completely convinced that it is not the case/unaware that that is the case. Aka, people don't think about it. Not like you do all the time you overthinking fucker.
