Hello /vt/ users!
You're probably here because your homeland has rewarded your loyalty by leaking all your IPs and proving to have been a fed honeypot. If you intend to join here, be aware that our rules are not shibboleths and will be enforced equally. You will not be allowed to spread lies about your business rivals or be able to make inconvenient information disappear by sending nudes to a moderator. Adapt or die. Thank you!
You have to compare the other column though. A video makes 200x as much as a short sounds reasonable; the question then is does it cost more or less than 200x as much to make.
It sure didn't sound like the girls wanted to stop, it sounded like one of the companies was forcing them to. Quitting in favour of Hololive would be completely understandable, but they didn't get that deal until like half a year later (with the tweet about a good deal happening). "We can't give...
Would they have needed to put more in? At the views and subs they were getting, surely they were making profits, at least if you write off the sunk cost of the models. I assume it had to be some kind of Japanese intellectual property autism with OVERDRIVE shutting down, because I can't see any...
Yes. It happened and continues to happen, Tumblr is probably the worst non-twitter place for it. But it's still significantly less prevalent on Tumblr than Twitter.
Nope. I stay off Twitter as much as possible, and even so what I see there is significantly more negative than every other...
It's not "any social network", it's Twitter specifically. Pretending they're all equally bad is Twitter fan cope. Even e.g. Tumblr has its share of pathologies but doesn't encourage outright bullying anywhere near as much as Twitter does.
I think it's mostly parasocialism, but interaction is part of the appeal of a stream. It validates that it's happening live and makes chat feel involved - people prefer live streams over prerecords for a reason.
I do think a lot of the time a streamer sets up something that makes sense for the...
Probably contractually mandated, I wouldn't take it personally. (Or, if you do, the only answer is to avoid all corpos and only watch indies). She may not be in a position to afford taking a few months off in between.
Unless you want a top celeb they go pretty cheap these days, the market is pretty saturated.
Like any paid companionship, the skilled/hardworking ones will put you at ease and make it feel like a fun hangout with a friend, at which point the cringe doesn't matter (most regular gaming sessions...
YouTube allows copyright holders to take down even content that is legal fair use. The law doesn't oblige them to keep hosting videos if they don't want to.
Huh. I'm not saying every vtuber should do it or anything, but in general I enjoy seeing overlap and crossovers between my different hobbies and interests.
It's normal for the entertainment industry, it's not healthy by the standards of, like, office supplies or landscaping or something, real businesses that people enter into to make money. But yeah it's probably the mature state of things.
There is an unlimited supply of slop-quality porn, but there's surprisingly little that's creative with good production values. If Bao is doing content that's on a level with her regular streams then she would honestly be raising the bar and carving out a new niche (badum tss). But yeah if she's...
It is, 飲む means drink but also gets used for taking pills for some reason.
Nah. They do it for the dream, the fame, and the love of it, that's why so many of them get exploited, just like the regular idol industry.
