Hello /vt/ users!
You're probably here because your homeland has rewarded your loyalty by leaking all your IPs and proving to have been a fed honeypot. If you intend to join here, be aware that our rules are not shibboleths and will be enforced equally. You will not be allowed to spread lies about your business rivals or be able to make inconvenient information disappear by sending nudes to a moderator. Adapt or die. Thank you!
A lot of them already do though? I mean sure, lore is mostly dropped after the first month and vtubers generally just stick the thinnest veneer of character over talking about their own life experiences, but if you look at just the model and the character (and disregard any "actually a 900 year...
I'm sure people will do redebuts and switch up their content, but I don't think aging up the model is going to be a big part of that - aging down is as easy as aging up, and sanding off the rough edges is normal as you go mainstream.
Compare long-running comic books - Batman sometimes gets older...
Doubt it tbh. It would be a rare woman who doesn't want to look eternally 17, and vtubing lets them. If anything redesigns tend to go for more conventionally attractive (which, for women, means 20s at best), since once you're established there's less need to stand out.
You're right, they don't need any new vtubers, they have plenty.
What Brave should be doing right now is a thorough restructuring to ensure that each entity is in its proper place in the corporate structure and reassign each of their vtubers to the appropriate subentity where they best fit.
They hashed it out pretty publicly I thought - there's no corpo cut for Fansly, so they have a rule that talents have to do at least as many non-Fansly streams as Fansly streams, or something on those lines.
Checked public records and the company's representative director is indeed 降井 蔵人 (Kurando Furui), FWIW.
Also the company's registered capital is only 3 million, so it could easily be just this one guy.
And yet you could name them all, even the ball ones are iconic. You mention e.g. Geodude being just a ball with arms, but you'd recognise him from his silhouette.
She probably still owns the copyright and just licenses it to them, but it depends entirely what the contract with them says. You...
Means they merge the company accounts in their accounting reports, as opposed to treating them as investments in a separate company that publishes its own accounts. Japanese accounting standards say that subsidiaries (which in Japan is any company the company owns more than 50% of) should be...
Fairly normal Japanese practice when putting the company under a holding company or similar. They rename the corporate entities that have the right structure, but they have to report the previous names of the corporate entities. The corporate number history will show what happened legally, the...
I like how he uses her full name like 20 times in the article. Is that because it was a condition for the payment from Cover PR or because he can't figure out which is her first name and surname?
The vtuber has no legal existence. If the actor has an individual throne account that people are giving gifts to, it's got nothing to do with the company. I can't see any way to make it a tax issue - allowing an employee to enrich themselves using company assets could be considered non-monetary...
What kind of backwards logic is that? You shouldn't give people or companies the benefit of the doubt when they don't give reasons. Even a Niji list is better than saying nothing, that's at least something concrete that the talent can refute. If both sides mutually agree that it was a breach of...
She posted a picture of what they wanted her to sign (which, sure, could be faked, but that would be an absolutely wild move). The claims don't really directly contradict each other - Globie are saying this was a carefully considered decision and the talents violated their contract multiple...
Parasocialism and a lack of better alternatives.
I swear the first entity to figure out "personalised attention from ethots, but they'll be professional about delivering what they promised and give you proper refunds if they don't" will absolutely coin it.
This is exactly the opposite of a virtue signal, precisely because he will lose the job and someone else will take it - he's putting his money where his mouth is, and you don't have to like everything he does to respect that.
Woke eats its own children, always has. There's no-one a third wave...
Employees in the UK have very few rights if they've been employed for less than 2 years. Probably entitled to be paid out for your notice period but nothing more. And most probably they're not employees in the first place (which may work in their favour here, since whatever's in their contract...
It would be hard to remove the models unless they have the ability to remote wipe their computers, and that would interfere with claiming your talents are independent contractors not employees. (Running the model remotely is probably not viable for streaming due to latency).
Makes as much sense as Dokicorp.
What are they going to do, fire her?
It's blatant copyright infringement and yeah extremely reckless, but can you imagine if they sued her?
