Out of the thousand-odd indies that stream, you could probably list on two hands the amount that are able to make vtubing a full-time job. Hell, most corpo talents outside of Hololive need a second job. Even if that job isn't necessary financially at the moment, having a second job is still not a bad idea in case your career goes down the tube. Having a career history that isn't "online anime girl" could be really handy then.

On October 1st, Mio was planning to do her monthly members-only ASMR stream at 20:00 JST, which was a bit early in the evening. She delayed it by an hour to not overlap Korone's birthday stream.
A few minutes later, Mio Tweeted that her "test results weren't very good", which was the reason why her ASMR stream was planned early so she could go to sleep earlier. She also said that she might take a bit more time off.
Fubuki quote Tweeted Mio and pretty much assured her fans that it's going to be fine.
A gaming news site wrote about Mio's Tweet about her test results. It talked about Mio's recent break from April to June due to acute pancreatitis. The article and headline was implying that the test results were related to that and another break might be on the horizon. The full title translates roughly to:
hololive's Ookami Mio reports that ``test results weren't very good'' - Suspended from April to June due to acute pancreatitis... Fans voice concern as ``tests have increased''
The story was then picked up by news aggregator Yahoo News, which is still relevant in Japan and thus put a spotlight on it.
The next day, Mio responded to that by saying that she's just going to stream less rather than taking a break and telling everyone to not worry about it.
