I will take this time to appreciate Valve making this free and the new meta over Black Mesa.
Yeah I have a lot of problems with Black Mesa.

I like Black Mesa but it has the same issue as Half Life 2 where HL1 is just more satisfying to jump in and play a random level. I adore HL2's atmosphere and levels and everything it did, but HL1 is just so much more fun for me.
Xen fucking sucks in Black Mesa, like yeah it was the worst part of the original but turning it into a 4 hour slog doesn't make it better.
